The Meyer Beefalo & Bison Hybrid Farm, is a small farm of about 60 acres located in south central Minnesota. We believe in sustainability and that means farming as naturally as possible, for the health of the animals as well as the health of the land.
We pasture raise our Beefalo, Bison Hybrids, heritage breed Red Wattle Hogs (Pigs), Katahdin Hair Sheep, and heritage breed Midget White Turkeys the old-fashioned healthy way, with no growth hormones, no antibiotics, and no chemicals on the land. We also raise free-ranged domestic ducks and chickens for eggs, as well as for roasting.
Browse around our website to learn more about what we do and feel free to come to our main farm house to order our meat products and see for yourself how great healthy meat tastes.
Beginning in 2019, we will offer one-on-one farm tours (Adults only, no groups or small children, please). We will take you for a walking tour (proper footware required) around the farm and explain our farming practices, permaculture project, and how we raise our animals. These tours can range from an hour to several hours, depending on your interests and our available time. Please contact us well in advance to make arrangements as our days are filled with much work most of the year. A free-will donation would be much appreciated. To arrange a one-on-one tour, please contact us using the "Contacts" page.
